I am reminded, in reading Zechariah 5, of how angels are depicted as beautiful women, with wings like "like the wings of a stork."

Scripture does not depict angels as "women." In fact, in almost every instance of man being in the presence of an "angel of the Lord," they are frightened, they bow down, and they are told not to be "afraid."

Yet man depicts angels as cherubs (could cherub's have guarded man from going back to the garden of Eden?). Beauty as "man" perceives it is very deceptive; I am not sure we should ascribe to this concept of angels.

The women in Zechariah are like temptresses who carry wickedness in the basket to be worshipped.

I just may have to take that angel I crochetted off of my tree. :(
