Nahum 1-3:19

There is a song that has as its chorus the words, “Only What You Do for Jesus will Last,” or something like that. Man made “stuff” no matter how strong we may think it is will crumble, as the inhabitants of Nineveh would come to see. We may rattle our swords, have parades that showcase our military, troops and weapons but compared to the power of God, they are matchsticks and men made of straw.

For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
(1 Corinthians 3:11-13 KJVR)

As we build our lives are we building upon a manmade foundation with bricks forged in the fire of man’s desire, or are we building on the foundation of Jesus Christ?

Grace and peace,
Ramona
