I want to share my experience with this verse, last year i took the step of faith to go for the mission trip. Since young i have developed some phobia due to health reason, though after accepting Christ in my life i know as the child of God we are set free from bondage. Yet i was very very scare before the trip, i was even scare to take plane, when i was reading the bible the verse came to me and it was the promise that Jesus will be with me, i remember this verse with, the moment the plane take off, i just remember this verse and remind myself that the sky that i see, the clouds, everything are under His control...i took the plane for the first time in my life, because of God
Acacia wood, Pure Gold, Silver and Bronze, as well as fine linen cut and measured to exact lengths, widths and depths. God is a God of details and precise measurement. He is a God of purity and beauty, which can be seen in what he required to build the Tabernacle that He would dwell in. God is a God of excellence. The finest Incense maker had to make the finest incense for the temple and the purest oil from the Olive had to be pressed.

The details given and the inventory of materials used in the project did not leave room for man’s creativity; God was the one Large and In Charge. It is all about Him not us.

I looked up Acacia Wood because I wanted to know what type of wood it was and I found several sites that showed photos of Acacia trees, which are dessert trees, which grow mostly in Africa with a few species in the Sinai Peninsula.

The following come from the WEB site of Old Dominion University in Norfolk University:

The genus Acacia includes more than one hundred species of trees and shrubs which are found mainly in the arid and semiarid regions of Africa where they are ecologically the most important plants. Here the acacia trees are often the only plants on an otherwise bleak and monotonous terrain. Several species of acacia grow in the Sinai but not all would be suitable for use in construction. One of the most common is Acacia raddiana and it seems likely that this could be the acacia referred to in the Scriptures.

And from Bible History WEB site:
http://www.bible-history.com/tabernacle/TAB4untitled00000065.htm

Acacia Wood

Acacia or Shittim Wood (Incorruptible humanity)

The Shittah tree grew in the deserts of Sinai, and the deserts around the Dead Sea. The wood is hard, very heavy, indestructible by insects, and has a fine, beautiful grain, brownish-orange in color. It was remarkably luxuriant in dry places, sometimes attaining a height of twenty feet. It had lovely yellow flowers and its insect-resisting Acacia wood was used in making mummy cases. This Acacia wood undoubtedly speaks of the incorruptible humanity of Christ, for we are told that His humanity would never see corruption.

Ps 16:10 For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.

I think it is so cool to see Christ in wood! (Oops! I think I’ve picked up Mike’s word, cool.
Matthew 28:1-20

9 And as they went, Jesus met them. "Greetings!" he said. And they ran to him, held his feet, and worshiped him. 10 Then Jesus said to them, "Don't be afraid! Go tell my brothers to leave for Galilee, and they will see me there."

17 When they saw him, they worshiped him--but some of them still doubted!

Worship, joy and excitement can hang out with doubt and fear. "Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!" (Mark 9:24 –NKJ). It is comforting to know that two opposites can live in the same mind and body. Jesus is there to help our unbelief, our doubts and fears when that happens. We don’t have to be ashamed when we are in conflict, we don’t have to pretend that there is not a tug of war going on inside of us Jesus is there to not only mediate our internal conflicts but He is there to deliver us from our doubts!

Psalm 34:11-22

11 Come, my children, and listen to me, and I will teach you to fear the LORD.

We wrestle with figuring out what the fear of the Lord is and hear, right here what the fear of the Lord is laid out.

13 Then watch your tongue!
Keep your lips from telling lies!

14 Turn away from evil and do good.
Work hard at living in peace with others

These are the behavior showing evidence that you gave within your being, “The fear of the Lord.”

James 1:19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: (KJV)

Proverbs 9:9-10

Its amazing how the same theme by happenstance, goes through different books of the Bible at the same and on the same day and I don’t believe that Tyndale “hooked” them up to be that way it just is there. Psalm and Proverbs dovetail with each other today,

10 Fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. Knowledge of the Holy One results in understanding.

Grace and peace all you wise ones
"And as they went JESUS MET THEM."

When the women ran back from the tomb to tell the disciples... Jesus met them. We are always saying and singing- He meets you where you are at (where you are in relation to him spriritually- be it near or far), but its fun to see how its literal as well.
Even though He was resurrected and standing before them in power, there were doubters in the crowd. And yet He didn't pull any punches in His teaching and told them all to go and make disciples and that He would be with them always.
I think this is particularly key for people who have mental health problems or difficulties trusting/believing. I have written something about this over am my 'MIND and SOUL' blog prompted by your thoughts today. Thankyou. Rob
