God really spoke to me from Zephaniah 3:2. It is essential that we remain teachable ("she obeys no-one and accepts no correction") and that we let Holy Spirit be our teacher ("she does not trust in the Lord, she does not draw near to her God").

God is pouring out fresh revelation into His church. We have to be people who are willing to have our current Bible understanding challenged. God will build upon, not replace, the revelation that He has already given us. But all revelation is spirit-breathed and requires intimacy with Him. If we become closed-minded to receiving new revelation then the consequences are made quite clear by Zephaniah. Conversely, the blessings to be had from a trusting and intimate relationship with God are equally clear.

Let's look forward to a generous abundance of God-breathed, fresh revelation over the next 12 months, even as we re-read familiar scriptures.

I take great encouragement from Psalm 138:8 "The Lord will work out his plans for my life--for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever." I have no idea how He does this, but I am encouraged that He says He does.

Philip Yancey's latest book on Prayer is going to be another classic. He addresses many of the difficult issues some of us may struggle with when it comes to how God works out our prayers and His sovereign will. Not a book for those who want nice, neat, tidy answers but a great book for those who are still on the Quest to know and experience the Lord.

honor our mother and father...luv it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you believe that God answers your prayers? Maybe not exactly in the way you'd expect, but that they are answered? Do you believe that God answers your prayers through encouragement and by giving you strength?

~ God always answers my prayers, indeed not exactly in the way I expected. Mostly He gives me something else that I need in order to get through my problems myself. You know what I mean? He gives me tools, so I can work on it myself. He's not the one that will solve my problems directly. He solves them by giving me tools to work on it myself. It makes me a stronger and better person AND I get the encouragment that I need!

I find great comfort in Ps v. 8: "The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me; your love, O LORD, endures forever— do not abandon the works of your hands".
God will fufill His purpose for me! how beautiful!

I know God is in the midst of everything...even among evil. At work sometimes i'm the only believer and sum of the peeps there are just corrupt and it makes me sick! Its really unbearable at times...i just cry to God, i need you...help me oh God!
feels like i'm in the midst of sodom n gomorrah. Sometimes "Here with me" by mercy me comes on the radio n i can stop and realize He is with me. just so much bad is entering my ears and mind and i hate it!
I love Zeph 3:17 "the LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing."
...I love that, He will quiet me. Like He will calm me, emotionally, spiritually, physically, He will calm my soul. He does too! oh how i cling to You oh Lord!!!
