Love...this is a powerful word...God gave something that cost Him dearly to pay for our sins.Jesus prayed that we may be one like He and the father are one.To do the father's will,Jesus walked to the cross without bitterness,judgement....as some mocked Him,no regrets.Today may God put in our hearts the unity between the gratfted branch of the olive root and the natural branch...that the body of Christ be one and that we may love like God loved us.
God bless you all

"Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world."

Scary to read that, eh? But yes, I do believe there are false prophets, I'm not sure 'many' but I'm sure there are a lot. Satan took what? About 3 quaters of the angels, right? So there must be a lot of evil in the world. It's scary and I don't want to think about it too much. I have had a lot of experiences with evil spirits and it's so powerful, it's really really scary! Too bad this happened before I was saved, cause now I'd have a much more better way to protect myself and my family. Now the evil spirit comes in another way, he comes with his temptations. But I'm God's child, I'm not scared anymore. Sure, it's a scary thought that we're sort of surrounded by evil. But when you think further ... it's not THAT scary anymore. Evil cannot win from LOVE that's just not possible! And there might be prophets that try to mislead us ... well, good luck with that. I trust my Father, that he will warn me in some way. And as long as I read the Bible well, I know what the real Word is!

Mae, memorize this:
2 Timothy 1:7

For God gave us not a spirit of fearfulness; but of power and love and discipline.

Anytime the adversary tries to intimidate you, you speak this to him. If you have it memorized, the adversary can never again make you cower.

You are a child of the King: You have ROYAL blood running through your veins now. You are truly a princess, and do not let the adversary ever try to deceive you into thinking he has any power over you. It is for this reason that Jesus died, so that you are no longer a slave to the adversary.

Stand on the promises of God, dear Mae. You have been redeemed by the blood of the lamb of God.

John 8:36 If therefore the Son shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

So many who have lost loved ones question where they are, can they hear us? Do they know how much we miss them? Are they with Jesus now?

I think the text today in Daniel shows us pretty clearly where they are at present:

Daniel 12:2-3
Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.

Those who are wise [c] will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.

Daniel 12:13

"As for you, go your way till the end. You will rest, and then at the end of the days you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance."

Although I am not sure how that squares with the NT text where it says:

II Corinthians 5:6-11

Being therefore always of good courage, and knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord (for we walk by faith, not by sight); we are of good courage, I say, and are willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be at home with the Lord.

Wherefore also we make it our aim, whether at home or absent, to be well-pleasing unto him.

For we must all be made manifest before the judgment-seat of Christ; that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Knowing therefore the fear of the Lord, we persuade men, but we are made manifest unto God; and I hope that we are made manifest also in your consciences.
Yet, I do think it confirms the text in Daniel.

i love escotology, it intrigues me. there are suposedly different views held by believers, some say believers will go throught the Great Tribulation, some say we (the church) will be raptured before it, and a third group say we are living in the great trib. now! ????? where on earth did that notion come from? I know its not a vital issue, cause God's will will be done, but i just have no idea where these oposing views are coming from...the Bible is crystal clear. As in Dan 13:1 "...But at that time your people—everyone whose name is found written in the book—will be delivered." =we will be delivered from the Great tribuation. we will not see it. there are other verses, like in 1 Thess. 4:15-17...i dont see how this is misinterpreted.
Its interresting, the bodies who are asleep in the dust. well, we know "to be absent from the body is to be present from the Lord" so this is refering to the dead's spirits. their bodies will arise first when the trumpet sounds, then those who are alive will be caught up in the clouds to join them. the nonbelievers will be brought to judgment :((
1 john is very powerful! great readings!
