Thank you for the reminder from John 14 that without the Holy Spirit living in us we will not be able to obey Jesus' teaching. This is a very helpful insight and encouraging as we strive through the power of the indwelling Spirit to carry out Jesus' word/s to us.

Mike, I'm new to the One Year Bible Blog. I just started reading it about a 2 weeks ago. In addition to the daily readings, I love reading and viewing what you post on the blog. You do a wonderful work that is helping to strengthen my testimony in Christ. Keep it up!

I do have a question about some of the scriptural quotes you post, and which I very much like, but cannot find in any of the translations on biblegateway.com. For example, "And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world at large cannot receive him, because it isn't looking for him and doesn't recognize him. But you do, because he lives with you now and later will be in you." Would you please let me know what bible translation this is from? Thanks and have a wonderful day.

Hi mdvlawyer - I believe it was from the New Living Translation - before the updated the translation a few years ago. So, the old NLT. :) I need to get my Scripture references updated someday on this blog. I'm glad you found the blog! God bless, Mike
