It is with a sense of great accomplishment and gratefulness that I comment today. A year ago I started reading the One Year Bible blog without much hope of finishing, because of the times I'd failed before. Although I skipped out most of Ezekiel because I got really behind at one stage, I got through the rest. YAY!

Knowing that there was a community of readers doing this with me, and being able to interact with you all through comments was a key ingredient for me. Thank you to all who posted.

Mike, thank you so much. Your commitment to this blog is admirable, and your humility is inspiring. I think you must be one of Jesus' heros when I see how many lives you are touching daily through your obedience to Him.

Having read the whole Bible now, I have a much better idea of God as the beginning and the end, God working through history, God unravelling His love-plan and God reaching out to us. I have a much better understanding of Israel and the Jewish nation, and how they are a precious part of the fact that I am a Christian today. Praise You, Lord for drawing near to us. Praise You for The Message.

Thank you for this Ministry!! I have been reading oneyearbibleblog.com for well over a decade! The short introduction and artwork is a great way to help me focus before I read the Word each morning.

To be truthful, it took me a few years to complete the whole Bible because I would get discouraged by the 3rd week of January and give up because I had missed a few days and could not seem to “catch up.”

Then it dawned on me that I would read all the passages in a few years, even those I may have missed on Saturday’s or Monday. :^) And each day the Scriptures holds the Wisdom of the Infinite Living God to consider and think on. I may still have skipped a line or two in the genealogies in 1 Chronicles 1and 2!!

May God bless you and keep you in the New Year!

P.S. I can’t wait to start it all over again tomorrow morning with “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”

WOW. I HAVE LOVED THIS ONE YEAR BIBLE. ITS MY EVERY MORNING START BEFORE ANYTHING W MY COFFEE.GET UP EARLY ENOUGH TO START YOUR DAY W THE LORD... IAM DOING IT AGAIN THIS YEAR BECAUSE I FOUND MY SELFREADING WHAT MIKE EXPLAINED "GOOD". INSTEAD OF READING THE BIBLE. SO THIS YEAR GONNA TRY TO STICK TO THE BIBLE I PRAY DEAR LORD. TY MIKE FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK..MAY GOD BLESS. LOST MY HUSBAND RECENTLY,I APPRECIATE PRAYER🙏💕😄..

Mike, thank you weaving the One Year Bible Blog so masterfully and diligently! It really puts the entire Bible into perspective and God's plan for humanity through His Son Jesus Christ. You give excellent advice for us because we will ALL miss a day or two or more. We just need to jump back into the current day and catch up when you are able.

I used the Daily Audio Bible (DAB) to catch up if I got behind because of being away on a week's vacation. You put the link in for everyone's EASY access (so smart!). I would get back on track by doing a daily reading as my morning devotional and then listening to the DAB on my way to work and back home from work. You can get back on track very quickly!

This is my 3rd time doing it and I find it amazing how many things I've learned about God's prophets, His people and the roles they played in passing all of this down to us in 2017. I think I walk away knowing that with such a feeling of assurance that I can share God's Plan for everyone in this world that needs to hear the Good News.

Thank you also for the commentaries of Ramona. I appreciate your honesty and practical approach to how God's Word transforms your life each day. And the lighthearted writing style is great. I pray that all will be blessed who read the OYB Blog in 2018 . . . . . you will be so very thankful a year from now.

Kindest regards in Christ,

Just want to thank you Mike. The time I spend reading God's Word is a great blessing. It draws me closer to my LORD and the WORD is truth. There are many false teachers and if you are not familiar with the scriptures you may be going down a slippery path away from the GOD of our salvation. Scripture tells us to study 2Timothy 2 15. Know God's Word so you are not deceived 2 Peter 2:1,2. I'm looking forward to my time with Jesus in 2018. Blessings to all.

Mike,
Thank you so much for this ministry....this is my 4th year of reading the Bible with you. There are some weeks when I miss a day or two or three, but I just continue on. This ministry has helped me in my walk to have more "relationship" with God/Jesus....to learn and know more and more....never fails for me to re-read something in Scripture and "hear" it for the first time. God has blessed you with this ministry Mike, and I look forward to another year. God bless you!
