ugh...i am going through a rough time, this isnt joyful at all, wont lie. I cant see that far by my limited view, but i must keep walking and keep trusting.

In James, v. 6 "But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind." ...this is not the 'name it, claim it' movement... that is false doctrine! Being in Christ doesnt mean, everything you desire and believe, if you have enough faith will come to pass. When I have a prayer request, some ppl say, 'believe and its yours'. No!! If the living were that easy, we'd all be healthy, trial-free, and have want we want. This passage is in accordance to GOD's will, not MINE. Life will not always go our way, bad things will happen to "good" God-fearing people, and not due to lack of faith. God's ways are perfect and so far from our ways. Look at Job, a God-fearing man. His friends said, 'you must have hidden sin' or 'you must not have enough faith'. Not at all! God's purposes are so beyond what we can imagine.

I'm feeling Ps. 116:3 "The cords of death entangled me, the anguish of the grave came upon me; I was overcome by trouble and sorrow. Then I called on the name of the LORD. "O LORD, save me!""

This has really been my cry these past couple days. I know He will bring me through...the tears will stop, He will restore David declares in v 5-8.

I need the Lord's help! Hear my cry oh God!!!!!! I know the God of the universe can hear my prayer, see my tears, though I dont feel anything, He is working things out for His good purpose. His ways are not my ways, i have to keep that in mind. I must praise Him all the more in times of trouble...there is great reward and breakthrough when we praise God in the storms. I like that song 'I will praise you in this storm'. forgot who sings it, but its a good one.

Prov 27:23 'Be sure you know the condition of your flocks, give careful attention to your herds.' Good advice to pastors/teachers, parents, etc. As the good shepard went after the one sheep that wondered away...he noticed the sheep, and that one sheep's condition, it had wandered away...he didnt just notice, but he went after it and sought to restore it.

This can also apply to all peeps... we should care for fellow-believers. If we notice a brother/sister has fallen away, we should seek to restore them.

God doesn't tempt people nor does he get tempted. Trials and temptations are to show our faith and love for God.

James 1:12 - Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

It is easy to drift away from God when going through hard times. One must remember that God is with them in the good times as well as the bad. Going through these times allows us to test and better understand our faith in Him.

“2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” Indeed one cannot mature without experiencing God through suffering. I once heard of an analogy where a tree grown in green house can only have shallow roots for it never has to grow deeper and strong ones against the winds and the rains. It’s not if but when the next trial comes, may we consider it joy.

Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

When we ask God, we must believe. If we doubt God, our doubts is like a wave in the sea. The wind blows the wave up and down. If we are like that should not think that we will receive anything from the Lord. But when you ask God, you must believe. (James‬ ‭1:6-8‬) Wow! What a remind for us about standing firm in our prayer.
